Humble Caledonian Bard

Stormy Sunset

As darkness descends over an unsettled sky,
A portend of storms as clouds gather on high,
A silhouette of trees adds contrast to the sight
As rumbles in the distance welcome in the night,

A painted horizon, with a backdrop to the west,
The hillsides darken, dusky light on their crest,
The air so still, creatures release not a sound,
An all-consuming silence, with no wildlife around
